WILLIAM’S DAHLIA

Hi Dear Friends,

It has been a long hot Summer, and as we now embark on September I look forward to seeing the beautiful changing colours of Autumn. But before we move on to Autumn, I’d like to share my new Summer painting with you. Once I had all my pieces ready and installed at my first Exhibition at Himley Hall, I had a space to start on a new piece and I am thrilled with this one!

I’m so happy to introduce you to my new acrylic painting “WILLIAM’S DAHLIA”. I’ve had so many compliments from social media already, and so I wanted to have it scanned and put on my website as soon as possible.

“WILLIAM’S DAHLIA” was inspired by a dear friend who shared with me a photo of a stunning dahlia which he had grown himself. I was moved to capture it’s beauty, and I hope I have done it justice! Painting my own interpretation of the bloom with delicate layers of pinks and soft touches of peachy/gold, red and purple, I wanted the flower to stand out as though it was glowing and radiating light.

Limited Edition giclee prints are now available for purchase in my shop, so please feel free to view. I’m sure this piece will look so beautiful in your space and bring a touch of endless Summer to any room.
